Communications officer in the Ministry of Home Affairs, Mlandvo Dlamini.

Mbabane – The Ministry of Home Affairs has announced that the Gifts Day Presentation in honour of His Majesty King Mswati III’s 40 years on the throne and 58th birthday will be held on Saturday, 18 April 2026, at Mandvulo Grand Hall in Lozitha Palace, starting at 10:00am.

According to Communications Officer in the Ministry of Home Affairs, Mlandvo Dlamini, the occasion forms part of the broader national programme commemorating His Majesty’s Ruby Jubilee and will provide citizens with an opportunity to present gifts and extend their well wishes to the King.

“The Gifts Day Presentation will give emaSwati an opportunity to present gifts and extend their well wishes to His Majesty.”

The event comes as the country continues to build momentum towards the national celebrations, with emaSwati across the Kingdom reflecting on four decades of leadership, unity and development under His Majesty’s reign.

Dlamini said Saturday’s presentation will be one of the key moments in the 40/58 commemoration calendar, giving the public a direct opportunity to participate in a milestone of deep national significance.

“The event forms part of the broader national programme commemorating His Majesty King Mswati III’s 40 years on the throne and 58th birthday.”

He said preparations are focused on ensuring a dignified, smooth and well-coordinated occasion befitting both the celebration of His Majesty’s 40 years on the throne and his 58th birthday. To support an orderly process, Dlamini urged all those intending to present gifts to ensure that they are registered on time. He said punctual registration would help organisers manage the programme efficiently and maintain proper coordination during the event.

“All gifts intended for presentation should be registered on time to ensure a smooth and well-coordinated occasion.”

Dlamini added that the occasion would serve not only as a ceremonial presentation of gifts, but also as a visible expression of loyalty, gratitude and national pride as the country continues to honour His Majesty’s enduring legacy.

The Gifts Day Presentation is expected to draw participants from across the country and add to the growing excitement surrounding the Ruby Jubilee celebrations, which have already inspired strong public interest and national reflection.

“The ceremony is expected to stand as a visible expression of loyalty, gratitude and national pride.”

As the Kingdom moves closer to the main commemoration, Saturday’s event is set to stand out as a meaningful national occasion, bringing citizens together in tribute to a reign that has helped shape Eswatini’s journey over the past 40 years. For media enquiries and coordination, communication regarding the event is being handled through Ministry of Home Affairs Communications Officer Mlandvo Dlamini.
